Our journey beings in the vibrant city of Prague where history and charm intertwine to create an unforgettable experience. Prague at Christmas is like stepping into a fairytale, with its medieval architecture, cobblestone streets, and Gothic spires all aglow under twinkling holiday lights. The city’s famous Christmas markets, particularly those in Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, attract visitors from around the world, offering Czech holiday delicacies like trdelník (a sweet, cinnamon-sugar pastry), roasted ham, and warm mulled wine. In Old Town Square, a towering Christmas tree stands in front of the Astronomical Clock, surrounded by festive stalls filled with handmade ornaments, toys, and traditional Czech crafts. Carolers sing beneath the grand spires of Týn Church, while horse-drawn carriages add a charming touch as they clop along the city’s ancient streets. Railway and Lichtenhain Waterfall – After a short walk from the pier to the spa park, take a historic streetcar from the Bad
Schandau spa park to the Lichtenhain Waterfall (jokingly called the Niagara Falls of Saxon
Switzerland). There you will observe the natural spectacle and get time for leisure or for a
hike to the Kuhstall, a famous rock gate. On the way there as well as on the way back your
guide will tell you many new and interesting things about the country and its people. The
ride through the beautiful Kirnitzschtal with the historic streetcar leads past impressive rock formations of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and many vacation hotspots.

Located in the historic Altmarkt square, the market glows with twinkling lights and colorful decorations, offering traditional crafts, mulled wine, and the famous Dresdner Christstollen—a rich fruit bread that’s a must-try treat. Stalls are filled with handmade ornaments, nutcrackers, and wooden toys from the nearby Ore Mountains, giving visitors a chance to bring a piece of Saxon craftsmanship home. Carolers and brass bands fill the air with holiday music, while the Elbe River and baroque architecture provide a picturesque winter backdrop. well-preserved Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Outstanding are the historic restaurant “Vincenz Richter” and the porcelain carillon of the Frauenkirche. On the way to
Albrechtsburg Castle, try an original Meissen Fummel, a local pastry with an exciting history.
The steep climb compensates you with a magnificent view over the valley with Germany the beauty and history of Dresden on this combined sightseeing tour by bus and on foot. Start by exploring the city’s highlights in comfort, passing landmarks such as the
restored Augustus Bridge, the majestic City Palace, the Court Church and the impressive
Zwinger Palace.

Afterwards, enjoy a guided tour of Dresden’s historic center, also known as the “Florence on
the Elbe” due to its breathtaking Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Stroll along the
famous Brühl’s Terrace, the “Balcony of Europe”, and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Elbe.
The tour ends at Neumarkt, where you will have the opportunity to visit the beautifully
reconstructed Frauenkirche. You will also have time to explore the surrounding area or, if you

The Christmas market, set against the backdrop of Wittenberg’s historic churches and cobblestone squares, is filled with stalls selling seasonal treats, mulled wine, handcrafted gifts, and ornaments. Carolers perform traditional German holiday songs, filling the air with the spirit of the season. A Christmas tree glows in the market square, adding a festive touch to the medieval townscape. Visitors can explore Luther’s house and other historical landmarks while enjoying a warm, welcoming Christmas celebration. Wittenberg at Christmas feels like stepping back in time, where history and holiday cheer blend in a truly special way.

Excursion – Wittenberg: Tour of the Luther City – From the pier you will travel in a modern coach to the historic Old Town of Wittenberg.You
will visit the courtyard of the Luther House with the monument to Katharina von Bora. On
the walk through the pedestrian zone of Wittenberg you will pass the Melanchthon House,
the residence of one of Martin Luther’s closest companions, the buildings of the famous
Wittenberg University, the market with the historic town hall and, of course, Luther’s sermon
church as well as the place of the famous posting of the theses. In Lutherstadt Wittenberg,
the cradle of the Reformation, almost every house in the historic old town breathes history.
Our guide will entertain you with many anecdotes.You will also get time either for leisure or
to visit the world famous Reformation altar in the Wittenberg City Church. Your walk ends at
the castle church. From there, your bus will take you back to the ship.

The city’s Christmas market, set in the old town and illuminated by thousands of lights, invites visitors to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit. Stalls filled with handmade crafts, holiday sweets, and warm mulled wine line the streets, while the aroma of roasted nuts and gingerbread fills the air. Dominating the scene is the stunning Magdeburg Cathedral, its gothic architecture providing a breathtaking backdrop to the festive celebrations. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree stands tall in the center of the market, surrounded by carolers and musicians performing traditional holiday songs. Families and friends gather around cozy fire pits, and children enjoy rides and games at the fairground nearby. With its historic sites, river views, and joyful atmosphere, Magdeburg offers a Christmas experience that feels both grand and inviting, capturing the warmth and wonder of the season.

Excursion – Magdeburg: City tour – From the pier you will take a modern coach to Magdeburg city center. During a photo stop at
the Rotehorn Cultural Park, you will get a magnificent view of Magdeburg’s Old Town and the
Cathedral Rock. On the drive through the center you will get to know one of the most
beautiful German Art Nouveau ensembles around Hasselbach Square. During a second stop
at the Domplatz you will enjoy the beautifully restored baroque ensemble, the cathedral
itself and of course the largest and last Hundertwasser project in Germany – the “Grüne
Zitadelle” (green citadel). Past the “Kloster unserer lieben Frauen” (convent of our dear
women), buildings built in the “Zuckerbäcker” style and the “Johannis-Kirche” (St. John’s
church) you will reach the third stop around the “Alter Markt” (old market). From Otto I to
Otto von Guericke to the athletes immortalized in the “Magdeburg Walk of Fame”, someone
from every era is represented. With the bus it goes back to the pier.

Stalls are filled with seasonal treats like roasted chestnuts, gingerbread, and Berlin’s famous currywurst, along with mulled wine to warm up chilly hands. The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church market, set against the historic church ruins, is particularly atmospheric, with its shimmering lights and cozy stalls. Berliners and visitors alike skate on ice rinks, browse for handmade crafts, and enjoy holiday performances by carolers and street musicians. For centuries, the Hohenzollerns shaped the magnificent residence city of Potsdam, where
some of Europe’s most renowned architects and landscape artists left their mark. Throughout
