Overview

Have you ever thought about taking a barge cruise? Barge cruises offer a more intimate experience, with only 22 guests aboard. Relax on the sundeck with a glass of champagne or cocktail in hand, or take a dip in the onboard hot tub. These cruises often follow historic routes, built in the 18th and 19th centuries, long before canal cruises were considered leisure travel.

Travelers get the chance to explore quieter, less developed areas, passing under unique bridges, across aqueducts, and witnessing impressive engineering marvels. Barge cruises navigate smaller rivers and canals that larger vessels can’t access, gliding gently along historic, narrower waterways at a leisurely pace—no more than 4 miles per hour.

Jeff and Gina along with The River Cruise Advisor, Ralph Grizzle will be hosting an unforgettable Barge cruise. From Dijon to Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune, join us for a unique journey along the Burgundy Canal to discover cities with unconditional charm. Visit Saint-Jean-de-Losne and its Musée de la Batellerie, recounting the history of navigation, and taste* regional products and wines in Santenay. Do not miss out on Chalon-sur-Saône, the beautiful city of art and history, and hike to the Cirque du Bout du Monde for some gorgeous panoramas: take advantage of this relaxing yet cultural and gourmet cruise that will not fail to surprise you!

Barge cruising on the Ms. Daniele with 11 cabins and 22 guests includes all meals from dinner the first evening to breakfast on the final day – onboard drinks included (except for drinks from our special lists) – double occupancy cabin with shower in bathroom – excursions mentioned in the program, a welcome cocktail and gala dinner

This exquisite adventure is perfect for like-minded travelers seeking comfort while exploring the petite waterways of France. Along the way, enjoy immersive cultural experiences, scenic cycling paths alongside the barge, and a leisurely pace as you drift through the picturesque countryside.  Join us by Booking Now!
