Coronavirus (COVID -19) Update – February 29, 2020

Teeming River Cruises is closely monitoring the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, including recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We will keep apprised of any recommended screenings, monitoring and protocols for our ships, passengers, and crew put forth by these agencies.

Our utmost priority is always the health, safety, and security of our guests and crew. Accordingly, we are cautiously monitoring the situation while developing precautionary measures such as enhanced pre-boarding procedures in an abundance of caution. These precautionary measures are based on the recommendations issued by the official authorities and may include a health and travel questionnaire, temperature checking, and illness screening for guests presenting with a fever and/or respiratory symptoms.

As an added precaution for the health and safety of all of our guests, anyone who has traveled from/visited or transited through any country with a current Level 3 Travel Health Notice within the 28 days prior to the start of their embarkation date will not be allowed to travel on the Teeming River Cruises’ cruise. As of February 28, 2020, the CDC listed China, Iran, Italy, and South Korea as Level 3 (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/transmission.html).

In addition, some governments have implemented broader restrictions, limiting the arrival of travelers who have traveled from/visited or transited through countries beyond those covered in the above policy. Accordingly, we recommend that you check the current travel policy of your upcoming travel destination(s) for further details.

Please refer to these steps that travelers can take to protect themselves from COVID-19. For additional information about COVID-19, visit the websites at the links provided below.
