"This was a great tour, great crew, great accommodations, great information. I’ve taken many ocean cruises sad a few river cruises. This was undoubtedly the best. The crew was excellent and accommodating and the staff was always helpful. The information that they provided to the passengers was right on the spot about the ports where we stopped. I took the drink package but it really wasn’t needed. I don’t drink enough to have warranted the price, although it was extremely reasonable. I have to mention that the showers were terrific, both hot and good flow, which is sometimes lacking in hotel rooms and cruise cabins. Not the case with this ship. I will definitely be taking another trip with Teeming Cruises."

Once on board, we were made to feel so "at home", and we quickly got into the rhythm of river cruising. Our amazing cruise director, Kate, as well as our hosts, Jeff and Gina, were always available to answer any questions. Teeming's business model, which encompasses independent travel and therefore a more affordable price point, greatly appealed to us, as we love to explore on our own, or with friends we've made on the ship. "We are frequent international travelers who like to make our own travel plans and move at our own pace. Prior to traveling with Teeming, our river cruise experience was limited to one cruise with Viking and it was a good one. Viking will pretty much get you from your front door on the boat, all the excursions and back to your front door. All that comes with a price and for those of us who like to do a little research, travel at our own pace, not in a herd following someone with an umbrella, Teeming works best. There is no mystery in booking airline tickets and hotels. English, to some degree, is spoken and understood in most countries. How does Teeming work? They lease ships with crew from established cruise companies during the travel shoulder season, so you get the same great experience and food as you would expect with any river cruise. The entertainment on some riverboat ships is what I would describe as formal, with Teeming, I found the atmosphere to be fun and more relaxed. The main difference is, the Teeming passenger is responsible for getting on the ship prior to sailing. At the end of the sail, the Teeming team made taxi arrangements to get each passenger to their next destination, whether it be hotel or airport. Is it worth it? The answer depends on the traveler. For us, it's overwhelmingly YES, we get to travel where and how we like to travel for about HALF THE COST."
